This application helps you to practice your listening comprehension and reading of numbers from 1 to 999,999,999 in a wide range of languages. It is also very easy to switch from one language to another. It also enables you to convert amounts from one currency to another, and to pronounce the resulting amount in the language of your choice.

What is the point of such a game?

Whilst human beings may speak several different languages, when it comes to counting they always revert to their mother tongue. When travelling abroad, this application works perfectly with iPhone’s natural functions (GPS, maps, currency converters, camera, etc.).

Children will be able to practice writing numbers not only in their own language but also in languages that they are learning at school.

When you are on a business trip, you probably communicate in English. As soon as you start discussing figures with your contacts (do they have enough money to do business with you?!), the chances are that they will start talking amongst themselves in their own language. If you have practised listening to numbers in their language, this will give you a considerable advantage. You will be able to understand the figures they are discussing,without them realising.

If you are a tourist, just as it is useful to know a few simple phrases in order to gain acceptance from the local population, it is equally important to be able to count. The locals will be delighted to see that you are making an effort to fit in and you will be able to use your new skill when taking a taxi, eating out, haggling over the price of a special souvenir in the market, etc.

How does this application works?
The application offers 3 games which will allow you to learn numbers intuitively:

The first game involves entering a number which is displayed as a figure and in letter form. You can then listen to how the number is pronounced and even switch to a different language for the same number.

In the second game, you ask your iPhone to pronounce a number: you first enter the size of the number you wish to hear and you will be allowed 3 attempts to write it.

The third functionality is a currency converter, based on exchange rates updated daily. You enter the amount in the initial currency, you choose the currency you want to convert to, and then the language in which the resulting amount is pronounced.

Your iPhone will be regularly updated with new languages, to which you will have immediate access.
